If you choose to join Loughrea you will be joining a Members owned club where the emphasis is on the course. You will always be guaranteed a well maintained course which offers a testing challenge to any golfer.
What attracts a lot of New Members to Loughrea is the fact that the course is unconjested and it’s always easy to get a relaxing round of golf in when it suits you.
We have a very active mens and ladies section who both run sponsored 18 Hole competitions throughout the majority of the year with 12 Hole Competitions in winter. There is an Open 18 Hole Singles Stableford every Wednesday as well.
Our Beginner category offers great value at €475 (T & C apply). For those who avail of this category there is the added bonus of being guaranteed the same rate for your second year of membership.

NEW MEMBERS:
This Category refers to the following golfers:
Golfers who have previously been a member of another Golf Club at some time but have never been a member of Loughrea Golf Club.
FORMER MEMBERS:
This category refers to the following golfers:
Golfers who were members of Loughrea Golf Club at some time in the past.
FAMILY DEFINITION: Husband & wife and all children under 18 yrs
* BEGINNER DEFINITION: To qualify for this category you must never previously have been a member of any golf club or held an official GUI/ILGU. Your Annual Subscription shall remain the same in the second year of membership even if you attain a handicap during this period
** DISTANCE DEFINITION: To qualify for this category you must live a minimum of 60km from the Course. You can play in all competitions but you can’t win 1st Prize in the Captain’s & President’s Prize or the Voucher Competition.
*** COUNTRY DEFINITION: To qualify for this category you must be living at a distance from the club and already be a FULL MEMBER of another Golf Club. You can play in all competitions but you can’t win 1st Prize in the Captain’s & President’s Prize or the Voucher Competition.
